We believe that you learn best by doing.

That's why we're launching a hackathon - to empower the next generation to learn and refine real world skills through team-building and tangible product creation.

ModHacks is a 48-hour competition for you to learn through creation. At the end, you'll get to pitch your product, whether entirely new or a continuation of a previous idea, to a panel of judges, for cash and prizes.

Requirements

Final projects must be submitted via Devpost with a written description and a video demonstration of the project (time limit is 4 minutes). 

All project contents must be publicly viewable for judging.

  • Problem addressed
    Is the problem addressed complex and far reaching?
  • Ambition and originality of idea
    Is the idea original? Is it impactful to the community and is it a viable solution?
  • Technologies used and innovation
    Was the approach innovative? Was it technically complex?
  • Quality of presentation
    How was the final product? Does it have any major flaws or bugs?
  • Final Product
    How clear was the presentation? Did it demonstrate functionality as well as impact of the product, either in video or the Devpost?
